This month the West Jersey Rotary Club celebrated the installation of a new historical plaque at the James A. Cotten Intermediate School in Willingboro, honoring the remarkable legacy of James A. Cotten.

Mr. Cotten was a Tuskegee Airman and longtime Willingboro resident, and the school that bears his name continues to help preserve his story for future generations. The plaque was installed as part of a district project initiated by the West Jersey Rotary Club.

Pictured with the plaque are Dr. Malik Brown, principal of James A. Cotten Intermediate School; West Jersey Rotary Club treasurer Michael Castagner; and members of the school community.

The new plaque serves as a lasting tribute to Mr. Cotten’s service, his connection to Willingboro, and the important place his story holds in local history.
